Envistacom Wins Spot on $5.1B GTACS II Contract Vehicle

The U.S. Army Contracting Command has awarded Envistacom a spot on the 10-year, $5.1B Global Tactical Communications Systems II contract vehicle.

The contract award requires Envistacom to modernize the Army’s current critical tactical programs through systems integration and cyber engineering services. The contract also calls for the delivery of advanced virtualized transport technologies, including waveforms and other related communications applications that will help establish a next-generation communications infrastructure for the Department of Defense, Envistacom said.

According to Envistacom President Alan Carson, the award extends the company's partnership with the Army and other GTACS customers.

The contract vehicle supports the Army Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications-Tactical and the Project Manager Tactical Network.

Additionally, work for the contract vehicle aligns with the Army’s unified network priority, which is aimed at modernizing the Army’s network capabilities to provide command and control at scale and enable effective operations in a multi-domain environment.
