Agile Defense Appoints Bill Luebke as Chief Financial Officer

Reston, Virginia-based digital transformation and cybersecurity service provider Agile Defense has named Bill Luebke as its chief financial officer tasked with leading the company’s overall financial management.

Agile Defense CEO Rick Wagner, a 4×24 member and a past Wash100 winner, welcomed Luebke’s appointment, saying that his “proven track record and visionary leadership” positions the company’s financial strategies as drivers of sustainable growth.

Before his Agile Defense appointment, Luebke was the principal accounting officer, senior vice president and controller at Peraton’s Perspecta unit. He also previously handled the financial team of the Virginia-based IT service company CSRA, Agile Defense said Wednesday.

The company added that its former CFO, Daniel Yuly, will shift to a new role focused on optimizing the financial performance of its programs and the efficiency of customer delivery.

In a LinkedIn post, Luebke expressed excitement about joining Agile Defense, noting the company’s more than 25 years of service to the Department of Defense and federal civilian customers.

In October 2023, the Agile-Bot II joint venture between Agile Defense and the offensive cybersecurity team BuddoBot won a $162 million contract to modernize, maintain and integrate into a DOD or commercial cloud environment the command and control systems of the Air Mobility Command.
