Alion Secures $87M Special Projects and Operational Training Task With NSWC PCD

Alion Science and Technology has received a five-year, $87M task order to provide special projects and operational testing for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division.  

Services provided under the NSWC PCD task are expected to ensure warfighter success in complex littoral and maritime environments. Work for the task involves performing research, analysis, design, systems engineering, integration, prototyping, testing and validating technology and resources, including mission-critical unmanned vehicles and their related systems, weapons and special project needs.  

In a statement, Katie Selbe, senior vice president and general manager of Alion’s cyber network solutions group and a Potomac Officers Club member, expressed the company's commitment to ensuring that technical solutions provide rapid and accurate mission support for warfighters.  

"Our experienced team of engineers and subject matter experts continue to provide exceptional, world-class training, bringing the latest innovations to enable the Navy to advance warfighter operational capabilities," Selbe said.  

The task was awarded under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center multiple-award contract. It adds to Alion’s recent string of task wins, including an $896M task to provide support and development, integration and management expertise for the Navy Integrated Training Environment.
