Alion Wins $248M Navy Contract for Warfighter Training Environment

Alion has been awarded a $248M contract to provide scientific and engineering services to the Navy Continuous Training Environment Integrated Architecture Development program. The four-year contract includes research, development, testing and engineering work to implement the NCTE Live, Virtual and Constructive architecture for advanced warfighter training across various fleet warfighting and training commands. It will be based on projects supported by the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center Program Management Office, Alion said. Established in the 1940s, the DoD IAC program provides technical data management and research support in the service of the DoD Science and Technology. Katie Selbe, senior vice president and general manager at Alion, said that live and synthetic training environments must be as true to life as possible.
