New IT task order

Alpha Omega Wins Five-Year NOAA Environmental Data Stewardship Contract

Vienna, Virginia-based information technology services provider Alpha Omega Integration has secured a data stewardship contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Centers for Environmental Information, a unit of the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service.

Under the five-year contract worth up to $43 million, Alpha Omega will provide core tools, systems and services to NCEI, NOAA’s data stewardship division, to facilitate the long-term storage and dissemination of critical environmental information. The new contract is the company’s fourth partnership with NESDIS on IT services, operations and maintenance, Alpha Omega said.

The company’s expanding role at NOAA shows a commitment to a partnership to make the right environmental data securely available for stakeholders’ informed decisions on life and property protection, Gautam Ijoor, Alpha Omega CEO and a 4×24 member, noted.

One of the company’s previous NOAA contracts was a $56 million task order awarded in August 2022 to support NESDIS national security and environmental data support roles in the agency and NASA.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture had also previously awarded Alpha Omega several contracts, including a five-year, $70 million joint task order that the company won with Dynamo Technologies in June 2023 to strengthen the department’s cybersecurity.
