Amentum Adds Sean Mullen, Roela Santos to Executive Leadership Team

Amentum, a technical and engineering services government contractor, has added two executives to its senior leadership team.

Sean Mullen, a member of the Potomac Officers Club, joined Amentum as executive vice president of business development. He is now responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy, delivering year-over-year growth and building corporate backlog, Amentum said.

Mullen most recently served as senior VP of business development at ECS, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously spent three years in a similar role at Perspecta. Prior to the said role, he held leadership positions at DXC Technology, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and Northrop Grumman.

He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Amentum also hired Roela Santos as SVP of marketing and communications, putting her in charge of brand-building, public relations, reputation management, digital marketing and other such areas.

She was previously chief communications and marketing officer at Science Applications International Corporation and VP of communications at BAE Systems’ intelligence and security unit.

Santos spent more than a decade at Raytheon Technologies, where she served as global communications director for cybersecurity and mission area communications lead, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She earned a master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California Irvine and a bachelor’s degree of business administration from Loyola Marymount University.

Amentum CEO John Heller, a POC member and a six-time Wash100 winner, said that the Mullen’s and Roela’s addition strengthens the company’s leadership team.

“The experience of our leadership team positions us very well for the future,” Heller added.
