American Systems Secures Spot on $8B FBI Contract for IT Support

American Systems has secured a prime contractor position on the FBI’s blanket purchase agreement for information technology supplies and support services.

Under the potential eight-year, $8 billion contract, contractors will provide the FBI and other Department of Justice components with a wide range of IT products and services, American Systems said.

Additionally, American Systems will offer technical support and qualified personnel to assist the FBI in managing and implementing IT projects and programs.

The company is among the 31 large businesses awarded BPA spots by the DOJ along with other 64 small businesses. American Systems began its performance period for the contract June 21.

John Steckel, president and CEO of American Systems and a 4×24 member, said the company looks forward to continuing to support the FBI’s mission and emphasized the importance of the bureau’s role in ensuring national security.

In April, American Systems’ IT solutions were among the company’s services that received the Capability Maturity Model Integration Maturity Level 3 by API Process Improvements, an appraisal usually required by many Department of Defense and government contracts.
