American Systems Wins GSA Task for Simulation Training Support

American Systems announced that it has won a $43.5M General Services Administration Alliant 2 task order to perform comprehensive operation, maintenance and sustainment of the Air National Guard Advanced Joint Terminal Attack Controller training system.

CEO and President Peter Smith, a Potomac Officers Club member and a three-time Wash100 winner, said American Systems is proud to deliver strategic solutions in support of the military's requirements for simulator-based training.

"This is one more example of our capabilities aligning with critical mission needs and ensuring the ANG is able to train their warfighters. We are proud to be able to deliver our technical expertise to the ANG—we know what’s at stake," Smith said.

Under the terms of the five-year contract, American Systems will establish a training system support center that will provide program management, systems engineering, software development and test, hardware design and cybersecurity.

The center will also provide system upgrades and enhancements, distributed mission operations, help desk support, depot and spares management and contractor logistics support.

American Systems added that it will provide on-site support to the 17 AAJTS device sites in the continental United States.

Headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, American Systems is an information technology and services provider that offers strategic solutions in the areas of enterprise IT, test and evaluation, acquisition and lifecycle support, engineering and analysis and training.

The company also specializes in consulting; command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; cable plant installation; and health care.

American Systems is focused on supporting government customers in the defense, intelligence, federal law enforcement, outreach and health care sectors.
