Empower AI’s Works with the Federal Government

Empower AI, previously known as NCI Information Systems, Inc., has become a key partner to the U.S. federal government. It leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies to support federal missions.

The company’s switch to Empower AI in 2022 shows its successful adoption of the Empower AI Platform across defense, civilian, and healthcare agencies. It emphasizes an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) approach to boost federal workforce productivity and mission success across the government.

Empower AI collaborates with various federal agencies, including the General Services Administration, the Federal Communications Commission, the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense. With over 30 years of experience, Empower AI has been enhancing the efficiency and security of defense systems and supporting vital missions of the armed forces.

In October 2019, Empower AI won a $269.9 million JSP Information Technology Support Services – Service Delivery (ITSS-SD) contract to help the DoD with its IT services. This is the largest award Empower AI has received in the last decade, requiring work in the National Capital Region to make things simpler and more efficient using new technologies.

In October 2022, Empower AI landed a $16 million contract with the Executive Office of the President to offer IT services, such as automation tools, for the federal budget process. It upgraded the agency’s coding to reduce technical issues, make the system easier to maintain, and provide better support for system users.

Moreover, the partnership among Empower AI, Radford University, and the government showcases a cutting-edge trifecta of innovation, bridging academia, defense, and technology sectors together. This fosters real-world problem-solving and propels research, talent development, and operational excellence that sets a new benchmark in AI-driven solutions for critical government contracts.

Finally, Empower AI’s new facility in Richmond is built with special 900-square-foot rooms to accommodate two Centers for Medicare and Medicaid contracts. Workers use AI, machine learning, and robots to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
