Who Is Jeth Rey?
Lt. Gen. Jeth Rey brings decades of experience in crafting and implementing cutting-edge strategies for the U.S. Army’s global operations. Currently serving as the deputy chief of staff, G-6, he is the principal military advisor to the chief of staff of the Army and the chief information officer for planning, strategy, network architecture, and implementation of command, control, computers, communications—or C4—and cyber operations and networks for worldwide Army operations.
Previously, as the director of the Network Cross-Functional Team within Army Futures Command, Lt. Gen. Rey spearheaded significant advancements. His work focused on creating a data-centric operational framework through four critical pillars:
- Establishing agnostic transport networks.
- Transforming the Army’s stance from network-centric to data-centric.
- Implementing a robust multi-level and zero-trust security architecture.
- Integrating cybersecurity early in systems development.
Under his leadership, modernization initiatives such as the Unified Network Plan made notable strides in achieving a streamlined, secure and efficient network infrastructure. His efforts have directly impacted multi-domain operations and operational capacity for large-scale combat scenarios.
