Meet Steven Morani
Steven “Steve” Morani is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) under the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). His responsibilities include logistics policy, strategy, resourcing, and operational monitoring to supply the warfighter with the necessary materiel readiness.
Steve also serves as the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment while overseeing the DoD’s $190 billion sustainment effort. His core competencies in this role include weapon system product support, management, international logistics, and staff growth.
Previously, Steve served as the Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment from July 2021 through May 2022.
