BlueHalo Eyes Expanded Defense Tech Capabilities With Eqlipse Acquisition
BlueHalo is acquiring the end-to-end solutions provider Eqlipse Technologies to create a company that provides essential technologies to defense entities.
The combined company will BlueHalo’s and Eqlipse’s expertise to accelerate the development and fielding of advanced defense technologies. Upon acquisition completion, BlueHalo will hold nearly 90 patents; employ new personnel; and offer 20 product lines in the space, counter-unmanned aerial systems and autonomous systems, cyber and electronic warfare, and artificial intelligence mission areas.
Jonathan Moneymaker, CEO of BlueHalo, a 4×24 member and a past Wash100 awardee, said the acquisition positions the new organization as a frontrunner in the defense sector and enhances its ability to deliver rapid prototyping and innovation while minimizing delays.
The acquisition is set to close in the first quarter of 2024. Moneymaker will lead the combined entity, BlueHalo said.
BlueHalo has been active in creating innovative solutions for defense clients.
In October, the company introduced a new C-UAS missile designed to take down large aerial threats such as Group 3 drones. The missile, compatible with existing infrastructure, has a modular architecture and a software-defined front end mated to rocket motors capable of defeating subsonic and supersonic threats.
In September, BlueHalo demonstrated its Broad Area Deployable Ground Terminal enabling Resilient communication system‘s signal processing and target tracking capabilities before U.S. Space Force officials and lawmakers.
