Booz Allen to Develop C2 Integration Prototype Under Collaboration With L3Harris

Booz Allen Hamilton will collaborate with L3Harris Technologies to support the Department of Defense’s efforts to enable Combined Joint All-Domain Command & Control.

The strategic cooperation will allow Booz Allen to accelerate the development of its Distributed Battle Management Node Tactical Operations Center-Light prototype, which is based on the company’s Modular Detachment Kit. The MDK is a multi-domain integration agent for C2 solutions that allows military operators to integrate disparate tactical C2 data systems, Booz Allen said Wednesday.

Steve Escaravage, executive vice president of Booz Allen, a 2023 Wash100 awardee and a 4×24 member, said MDK was designed to meet warfighters’ need for “mobile, tailorable and scalable” C2 systems on the edge. He shared that the kit will enable joint fires and other operational needs and novel concepts.

The collaboration follows multiple wins Booz Allen secured in 2023.

In October, the U.S. Space Force selected Booz Allen to support the service’s space-based missile warning, surveillance and environmental monitoring activities under a seven-year, $630 million contract. The company said it plans to use its Agile software development, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to integrate the Next Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared system and meet other contract requirements.
