CACI to Provide SATCOM, Network Support Services to NIWC Under $199M Contract

The Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic has awarded CACI International a five-and-a-half-year, $199M single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the provision of communications systems, satellite communications and network support services in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command.

Specifically, CACI will offer fielding and training for operational systems, maintenance, logistics, and 24/7 technical support to personnel assigned to the satellite and network systems. The contract requires the provision of support services to about 2K satellite communications systems worldwide and wide-area network infrastructure services for nearly 90 sites, CACI said Monday.

To fulfill the work outlined in the contract, CACI engineers and technicians intend to use the company’s facility at Fayetteville, North Carolina. According to the company, the facility provides a venue for maintaining, assembling and testing satellite communications, as well as maximizing their efficiency and accuracy.

John Mengucci, CACI president and chief executive officer, attributed the recompete award to CACI and NIWC’s long-standing professional and productive relationship, which mainly involves the delivery of mission-critical communications to service members.

CACI is an information technology company based in Arlington, Virginia, dedicated to providing solutions that address the enterprise and mission needs. The 23K-employee company is a member of the Fortune 1000 Largest Companies, the Russell 1000 Index and the S&P MidCap 400 Index. Additionally, CACI has been recognized as a Fortune World's Most Admired Company.
