Carahsoft Adds GenAI Provider Yurts to Public Sector Distribution List

Carahsoft Technology announced that it will serve as secure generative artificial intelligence solutions Yurts Technologies’ public sector distributor, expanding the generative AI solutions available to federal agencies.

Yurts has been supporting organizations to take advantage of the benefits offered by AI in improving workflows across applications and data stores. The platform is powered by a Model Hub made up of large language models and a proprietary retrieval-augmented generation engine, allowing it to rapidly generate answers to various queries, Carahsoft said.

Michael Adams, program executive for AI solutions at Carahsoft and a 4×24 member, said that the company is excited to have Yurts as it offers government customers a GenAI solution that will improve their missions and customer service to Americans.

Yurts has been helping the Department of Defense improve its operations using AI. In December, it received from the Special Operations Command a contract with a maximum value of up to $16 million to integrate large language models to improve the SOCOM’s decision-making process.
