CISA Highlights Importance of AI Adoption
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has underscored the importance of artificial intelligence and machine learning in driving efficiency. Martin Stanley, CISA's senior adviser for AI, said that machines can take care of repeating, mechanical processes, allowing humans to focus on "more interesting, challenging problems." Digital strategist Jonathan Alboum, meanwhile, said that society has changed, and it should automate activities to the extent it could, MeriTalk reported Thursday. Stanley noted that a large chunk of AI implementation involves data management across the government. He stressed the importance of AI and ML in better serving CISA's stakeholders and added that it is important for CISA to view AI in both the lenses of its stakeholders and of the United States' adversaries.
