Cohesity Secures FedRAMP Authorization for Cloud Data Management, Security Solution

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program has granted Cohesity moderate authorization for a software-as-a-service offering that delivers simplified data management and data security.

According to Dave Kushner, vice president of federal sales at Cohesity and a 4×24 member, federal agencies and other organizations requiring the FedRAMP authorization at the moderate level can now consider using Cohesity Cloud Services for Government to protect data from cyberthreats, including ransomware.

The SaaS, which is now available on the FedRAMP Marketplace, “consolidates data in the cloud, breaks down data silos and reduces infrastructure complexity to increase agility and derive more value from data,” Cohesity said.

The cloud service offering also enables agencies to use a fully managed backup as a service running on AWS GovCloud (US).

According to Kushner, over 300 federal agencies are already using Cohesity’s solution for data security and management modernization.

With the FedRAMP authorization, Cohesity can support more public sector entities to help them provide better services and meet mission demands, Kushner said.
