Cubic’s PIXIA Wins NGA Contract for Data Management Software
PIXIA, a software company under Cubic's mission and performance solutions division, has been awarded a contract from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency to provide commercial software for data management and dissemination.
The award exercises the second option year of a five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, under which PIXIA will continue providing NGA with a cloud-based data sharing and organization solution.
"We have established a proven track record with the U.S. defense and intelligence communities and we are proud to continue supporting NGA’s missions with our cutting-edge solutions,” said Rudi Ernst, PIXIA's vice president and deputy general manager.
Mike Knowles, president of Cubic's mission and performance group, explained that PIXIA provides mission-critical technologies used for managing large volumes of data and enabling better decision making.
“This award signifies the continued trust the intelligence enterprise has in PIXIA’s advanced software platforms and we look forward to delivering our industry-leading technology," Knowles said.
NGA currently uses PIXIA software for cloud-based access to geospatial intelligence across the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.
According to Cubic, PIXIA's technology supports users with limited or no communications capabilities, in addition to supporting the full range of NGA customers with data access.
Cubic acquired PIXIA in January 2020 to enhance its command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance portfolio.
PIXIA offers platforms built to manage and share large amounts of imagery data, wide-area motion imagery and geospatial data for customers from the DoD, the Intelligence Community and the federal government. The company also prides itself on supporting disconnected users at the tactical edge.
