Cybercom Appoints Morgan Adamski as Executive Director

The U.S. Cyber Command has named Morgan Adamski as its new executive director.

Adamski, a past Potomac Officers Club event speaker, will take on the role in early June and will support Cybercom’s commander in implementing strategies to advance the command’s capabilities, talent management and partnerships.

She will bring to her new role nearly two decades of public sector experience in the field of cybersecurity, Cybercom .mil reported.

Before moving to Cybercom, Adamski spent nearly 14 years serving the National Security Agency as an operations manager and the director of the NSA Cybersecurity Collaboration Center focused on developing partnerships with the industry to improve cyber defense.

She was a recipient of the NSA Innovation Award, the NSA Director’s Award, the Director of National Intelligence Merit Unit Citation and the Meritorious Civilian Service Award.

Before joining the NSA, she was a cyber analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency for over two years beginning in May 2008.

Adamski also played a role in developing the 2018 Department of Defense Cyber Strategy and inaugural Cyber Posture Review during her tenure at the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy.

In her new role, she is looking forward to contributing to Cybercom’s success in securing the cyberspace domain for the United States and its allies.
