Dan Ford Takes Lead Role as Capgemini Government Solutions CEO

Capgemini Government Solutions has appointed Dan Ford as CEO, effective immediately. He replaced Bill Webner, a 2024 Wash100 awardee who joined the Summit Technology Group as its public sector CEO in June.

Before his appointment, Ford served as vice president and U.S. Federal Sectors head of the McLean, Virginia-based independent subsidiary of Paris-based global information technology company Capgemini.

Ford brings to his new post almost two decades of company experience including as National Sector Leader, Capgemini said Wednesday.

Previously, Ford led Capgemini services supporting federal clients’ various strategies and goals, including missions in the health and defense sectors, the company said.

Jim Bailey, Capgemini in the Americas’ CEO, conveyed the company’s confidence in Ford’s capabilities, noting the “new perspective” that he would bring to market innovation and competitiveness.

Before joining the company, Ford worked for two years as operations manager of First Asia, according to his LinkedIn profile. He earned a Master of Engineering in Logistics degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Davidson College.
