ECS Named Prime Contractor Under DARPA Support Contract

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has selected ECS as a prime contractor for the five-year, $1.25 billion Technical and Analytical Support Services indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Under the TASS contract, ECS will provide advisory and assistance services supporting the agency’s research and development mission. John Heneghan, ECS president, a 2023 Wash100 winner and a 4×24 member, said the contract builds on the company’s more than three decades of delivering engineering and technical assistance to DARPA.

The contract builds on a five-year, $850 million DARPA IDIQ the company received for professional services. Work under the 2018 contract included operational and research analysis and business and financial management, ECS said Wednesday.

ECS has received several contracts since the start of 2023 supporting U.S. military and government agencies.

In August, the company won a five-year, $154 million U.S. Navy contract for infrastructure engineering services. ECS was tasked to modernize the Navy’s public safety network by providing IT governance and network services focusing on cybersecurity, network transport engineering, systems development, lifecycle management and software development.

In May, ECS won a seven-year, $138 million contract to provide IT support for the U.S. Postal Service‘s Addressing and Geospatial Technologies Professional Support Services program.
