Dev Nathan Kalyan, Managing Principal at Vandanam

Dev Nathan Kalyan is the managing principal at Vandanam, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that provides business consulting services to contractors in the federal health segment. A member of the Potomac Officers Club, he was most recently the chief growth officer at B3 Group, a health care information technology firm acquired by Octo in 2022.

Prior to that, Kalyan held a similar position at OptumServe Health Services and served simultaneously as chief clinical transformation officer. He joined the company as vice president of federal strategy and growth, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He was formerly a senior manager for health care transformation at ERPi, which merged with ECS in 2021.

Kalyan served as a medical officer with the U.S. Navy for almost five years.

He previously practiced ophthalmology as a resident physician at the University of Southern California and the Doheny Eye Institute. Earlier in his career, he was a transitional year resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. 

Kalyan earned a doctor of medicine degree from the Duke University School of Medicine, a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from George Washington University. He also earned a certification in clinical research from the Duke University Medical Center.
