DIU Adds Anduril Small UAS to Blue Cleared List
The Defense Innovation Unit has added Anduril’s Ghost modular, multimission small uncrewed aircraft system to its Blue UAS Cleared List.
The sUAS solution is designed for reconnaissance and targeting, electronic warfare and network extension applications. It runs on the Anduril Lattice operating system, allowing it to automate mission planning, airspace management and flight operations in dynamic operating conditions, Anduril said.
Alex Chang, Ghost general manager at Anduril, said the inclusion of the Ghost in the roster allows the company to accelerate the delivery of solutions that would support national security partners in carrying out their missions.
Established in 2020, the Blue UAS program aims to rapidly vet and scale commercial UAS technology designed for use by the Department of Defense. As of May, a total of 14 companies were in the Blue UAS Cleared List. Among the UAS added were Blue Halo’s IE-V2 Jeti, Freefly Systems’ Alta X and Vantage’s Vesper. The list originally had only 10 vendors in January 2023 after Skydio and Flightwave saw the addition of their solutions.
