DLA Taps SAIC for $950M FSG 80 Tailored Logistics Support Program Contract

The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Science Applications International Corp. a $950M Federal Supply Group – 80 Tailored Logistics Support Program contract. The contract requires SAIC to handle supply chain management for the FSG 80 commodity, including paints, preservation and sealing compounds and adhesives.

Work for the contract includes procurement, demand planning, inventory and distribution management, shelf-life management and direct delivery of the commodity to over 5K Department of Defense locations, SAIC said Thursday.

The three-year contract comes with two two-year options.

According to Jim Scanlon, executive vice president and general manager of SAIC’s Defense Systems Group, the company will be using its integrated logistics toolkit and hazardous materials management for improved service delivery to DoD locations.
