DOL Joins GSA’s Center of Excellence Program

The Department of Labor has entered into the General Services Administration’s Centers of Excellence program to modernize its acquisition process under the Center of Excellence program. As part of the program, GSA’s Technology Transformation Services office is expected to provide DOL with robotic process automation to boost its acquisition process. The program also supports the departments of Agriculture and Housing and Urban Development, the Office of Personnel Management, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Pentagon’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, Federal Times reported. According to TTS Director Anil Cheriyan, the combination of robotics process automation and artificial intelligence capabilities has seen increasing in use in government. Since its inception in 2017, GSA’s Centers of Excellence program has helped accelerate modernization projects at various agencies.
