Douglas Thurston to Lead DMI as Chief Executive
Douglas Thurston has been appointed CEO of digital transformation services firm DMI, succeeding Sunny Bajaj, who will stay on the board of directors. Thurston previously served as chief operating officer, having joined the company in 2022 to work with Bajaj on strategic growth efforts.
According to Bajaj, Thurston is a proven leader with the ability and vision to advance the company. Joe Benavides, a managing partner at DMI investor Oceansound Partners, said Thurston is expected to drive further growth as CEO.
In a press release, DMI said the leadership transition follows a string of acquisitions aimed at strengthening offerings to clients in the public and private sectors. A 4×24 member, Thurston is said to have played important roles in the company’s mergers with three businesses, including financial management software developer Simplex Mobility.
Thurston previously served as an executive at Peraton, Accenture and Lockheed Martin, DMI said Tuesday.
