DTRA Explores Commercial Data Analysis Support Capabilities
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is looking into industry capacity to meet Mission Information Technology Next Generation requirements.
DTRA seeks Big Data companies to enhance and operate its MIT infrastructure; deliver forward-deployed data analytics systems, training and expertise to combatant commands; enable data analytics solution development to address emerging threats and user feedback; and support military pre-deployment data analytics system and tool training, according to the notice posted on SAM .gov.
The agency wrote that it plans to acquire such services on a competitive basis.
In the request for information, DTRA indicated that MIT NextGen is a follow-on to the MIT contract, which has a four-year performance period and a value of over $408 million.
The agency wrote that the prime contractor under MIT provides subject matter expertise to support the achievement of big data management requirements. According to DTRA, the contract enables it to develop and implement various data analytics capabilities to combat weapons of mass destruction.
Interested parties have until Jan. 23, 2024, to respond.
