Envistacom Corners 2 Prime Pool Awards on GSA ASTRO IDIQ Contract
Atlanta-based Envistacom announced that it has been selected for two prime pool awards on the General Service Administration’s ASTRO indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide mission support for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. The two awards will enable the provision of services through the GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service over a 10-year period of performance with a five-year base and five-year optional extension, Envistacom said Wednesday.
Under the two prime awards, the company will provide mission support services for the Development/Systems Integration and Research and Development pools.
Alan Carson, president of Envistacom, said that through the new GSA ASTRO program, his company will provide the DOD with innovative technologies and services that deliver new capabilities to America’s warfighters, ensuring the success of future missions.
Carson, a Potomac Officers Club member, added that Envistacom has a track record of providing R&D and systems integration services and looks forward to working with the GSA’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center on the ASTRO contract.
Designed to meet DOD Combatant Command mission requirements, ASTRO is a multi-agency, multiple-award IDIQ contract vehicle that includes research, development, maintenance, support and operations services related to manned, unmanned and optionally manned platforms and robotics.
ASTRO includes 10 pools, each representing functional domain areas, including data operations, mission operations, aviation, ground, space, maritime, development/systems integration, research, support and training.
In July, GSA announced the full list of awardees on the multiple-award ASTRO IDIQ contract. The other eight pools are aviation, training, mission operations, support, data operations, ground, maritime and space.
Envistacom provides communications, cyber, and intelligence solutions, support services and technology to the U.S. DOD and coalition partners in the aerospace, defense and intelligence sectors.
