Executive Profile: Barbara Farnham, Senior Director of Sales at CenturyLink
Barbara Farnham is the senior director of sales at CenturyLink, an information technology and services company in Monroe, Louisiana.
Since assuming the role in January 2019, Farnham has been leading account managers and directors, as well as helping federal chief information officers, directors and IT professionals modernize their IT administrative landscapes.
Farnham also helps CenturyLink’s strategic government teams in supporting U.S. government branches, research and engineering institutions, civilian and intelligence agencies and the defense industrial base, according to her LinkedIn profile.
As a 19-year executive at CenturyLink, Farnham has also served as senior director of federal programs. In the said role, she guided strategy for multiple program delivery and provided executive leadership and direction. For 18 years, Farnham contributed to the implementation of program management standards, tools and techniques, as well as best practices, to successfully manage programs with projects using PMBOK Guide project management standards. In addition, she was tasked to address key issues in organizing and staffing program teams.
Before her appointment at CenturyLink, she served as a finance and contracts manager for Premier Analysis.
The executive was also a finance manager for NEC Corporation of America and General Dynamics, where she worked for nine years.
Farnham earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Shepherd University.
