Executive Profile: Chris Bishop, Pyramid Systems CGO
Chris Bishop joined Pyramid Systems in August 2019 as its chief growth officer.
In the said role, Bishop is in charge of developing and implementing both Pyramid’s organic and inorganic growth strategies. He aligns business methods and capabilities and enables technologies to federal budgets and Pyramid’s pipeline, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Bishop also provides thought leadership, guidance and oversight of key business development, capture, proposal and marketing activities. His role also requires him to lead large-scale captures through the development of overall capture strategies, proposal win strategies, technical and management strategies and pricing strategies.
Prior to his appointment at Pyramid, Bishop served as CGO for ManTech’s mission solutions and services group, in which he led sales efforts and contributed to sales coordination. He was responsible for strategic positioning, opportunity pipeline/business development, customer relations, personnel management and professional development to drive sales growth performance and improved win rates.
In addition, he worked as vice president of marketing and business development at URS. For two years, Bishop was tasked to identify key strategic growth areas for the company and come up with exploitation strategies to capitalize on target markets and customers.
Bishop also held executive positions in NCI Information Systems, SRA International and CSC.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in economic policy, international finance and global business management from Marymount University.
