Executive Profile: Linda Bixby, LMI Director of Academic Programs
Linda Bixby has been serving as LMI’s director of academic programs for five years. In this role, Bixby leads academic programs, which facilitate formal working relationships between industry and universities across the U.S. to promote innovative collaborations and research in support of the U.S. government. Prior to her current position, she served a three-year term as LMI’s vice president for the intelligence community, in which she managed a team in expanding the company’s services and capabilities throughout the intelligence community, homeland security, federal law enforcement and diplomatic agencies to address government challenges, LinkedIn posted. The executive has spent over 25 years carrying out executive, management, operational, technical and analytical roles. She worked at LMI after a two-year term as vice president of operations at Integrity Business Solutions and a nine-year tenure as a senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. She was also a four-year assistant professor and scholar in residence at American University. Her affiliations include the Intelligence and National Security Alliance as she currently serves as a member of the group’s Advisory Committee and vice chair of its Acquisition Management Council. Bixby earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and German studies from the University of Arizona. She finished her master’s program in history and Soviet studies, as well as her doctorate in history at Freie Universität Berlin.
