Executive Profile: Steve Lyons, Intelligence VP of Oracle’s NSG
Steve Lyons, vice president of intelligence programs for Oracle’s National Security Group, kicked off his Oracle journey in 2016 when he led a team of senior executives and shared his knowledge on the Intelligence Community and his expertise in technology acquisition, resource management and policy. For 35 years, he has served in the executive, legislative and agency levels of federal government, Oracle posted. Lyons worked for the office of the Undersecretary for Defense Intelligence for 24 years. He was also a senior financial analyst at the Pentagon for 14 years, a military intelligence advisor for four years and a military intelligence director for five years. He is also a member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, the National Defense Industrial Association and the American Society of Military Comptrollers. Before his stint at the Pentagon, Lyons was a professional staff at the Senate Appropriations Committee and a budget examiner at the Office of Management and Budget. Lyons earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a master’s degree in national research strategy from National Defense University. In 2014, he completed postgraduate studies at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
