Former Army Network CFT Lead Joins CACI

CACI has tapped retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Peter Gallagher, a past Potomac Officers Club event speaker, to serve as senior vice president for national security technology solutions.

Gallagher will report to Todd Probert, president of CACI’s National Security and Innovative Solutions sector. Probert, another former POC event speaker, believes that Gallagher’s defense mission expertise, including his recent focus on convergence and modernization, will be valuable in helping the company deliver secure critical systems, CACI said Monday.

Gallagher joins the private sector after more than 30 years with the Army. His last position was serving as director of the Army Futures Command Network Cross-Functional Team, which is tasked with improving the service’s future tactical network and enabling multi-domain operations.

Under his leadership, the N-CFT participated in experiments for Project Convergence, the Army’s contribution to the Joint All-Domain Command and Control framework. During a demonstration at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona, the team evaluated a mesh network’s ability to augment human sensing and decision making.

Gallagher is also the former deputy director of the Pakistan-Afghanistan Coordination Cell, International Security and Assistance Force-Afghanistan CJ-6, executive officer to the CIO/G-6, and director of the J-6 in the U.S. Central Command.

A multi-awarded military leader, Gallagher holds a Distinguished Service Medal, three Defense Superior Service Medals, four Legions of Merit, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and three Bronze Stars.
