Kamal Narang Named GDIT Federal Health SVP

General Dynamics Information Technology has appointed Kamal Narang as senior vice president for federal health.

Narang will lead the strategy and execution aspects of GDIT’s federal health business and will join the company’s executive leadership team. Amy Gilliland, president of GDIT, a 2024 Wash100 awardee and a 4×24 member, said Narang’s experience in the federal health IT space and his experience in program execution will help the company’s federal health business grow and advance customers’ requirements.

Narang was the vice president and general manager of the federal health business before taking up his new position, GDIT said Wednesday.

Narang’s appointment came months after GDIT appointed Paul Tartaglione as chief growth officer. Before joining GDIT, Tartaglione was a senior VP and partner at Booz Allen Hamilton who oversaw IT services for various federal agencies.

Tartaglione succeeded 4×24 member Ben Gianni.

GDIT’s federal health business offers technologies, systems and science services to support mission-critical services for citizens, veterans, service members and other individuals who need health care services. Its work includes electronic health record modernization for the Indian Health Service and genomic research and disease surveillance systems provision for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
