GSA Awards RDS $242M Contract for Light Commercial Vehicles
The General Services Administration has awarded RRDS a $241.5M contract to provide light commercial vehicles to federal fleet customers across the United States.
GSA received the 16-month deal through the GSA Fleet Vehicle Purchasing Program, which serves as the Department of Defense's and federal government's avenue for purchasing non-tactical vehicles.
"RRDS is proud to support the General Services Administration by providing government agencies nationwide access to an expanding portfolio of award-winning commercial passenger vehicles," said Maxwell Sun, RRDS' vice president of supply chain management.Â
Sun noted that RRDS also received an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award under the GSA Fleet Vehicle Purchasing Program in 2019.
RRDS said that over 50K vehicles are purchased every year through the contract vehicle designed to offer benefits and reduce costs to DoD and executive branch agencies.Â
According to GSA's website, the contract vehicle helps customers save at least 24 percent off manufacturers' invoice prices for engineering services, technical assistance, vehicle design services and other professional services
"We look forward to working in cooperation with our teammates and the GSA in the coming year and hope to have the privilege of doing so for years to come," Sun added.
