GSA Hands SAIC $878M Multi-Domain Command and Control Capabilities Task

Science Application International Corp. has won an $878M task order from the General Services Administration to help advance technology for Multi-domain Command and Control capabilities

Under the terms of the deal, SAIC will provide professional services support capabilities such as cybersecurity, digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, integrated training, research and development, prototyping and information technology modernization.

“SAIC’s operational and tactical integration expertise and our investments in digital engineering and rapid technical integration will accelerate warfighting capabilities that counter adaptive threats and keep pace with warfighter needs,” said Michael LaRouche, a Potomac Officers Club member.

The contract's work will ultimately integrate data in the domains of land, sea, air, space, cyber and the electromagnetic spectrum to enhance warfighters' situational awareness and maintain global leadership.

One of the contractor's objectives is to provide warfighters with access to critical information at the speed they need to gain an advantage through decision making.

SAIC added that it will help the government distribute and act on information, minimize technological obsolescence and reduce total lifecycle costs of Joint All Domain Command and Control capabilities.

“For instance, SAIC’s investments in virtual environments and technologies will help warfighters with a space test and training environment – live or simulated – that truly integrates how leaders command space and cyber systems to deliver global combat effects,” LaRouche added.

SAIC is a Fortune 500 technology integrator that boasts a portfolio spanning the defense, space, civilian and intelligence markets. The Virginia-based company offers engineering, IT modernization and mission solutions.
