HII Wins $65M Contract to Help Boost Joint Warfighting Capabilities

HII’s Mission Technologies division has secured a $65 million contract for specialized research and analysis services to the deputy director for Joint Force Development, J7.

Andy Green, HII executive vice president, HII Mission Technologies president and 2024 Wash100 awardee, said the contract expands the company’s current work with the J7 and J4 to prepare warfighters for the cross-domain battlefield through HII’s live, virtual, constructive solutions.

The U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron initiated the task order under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center multiple award contract vehicle, HII said.

Brian Teer, acting president of Mission Technologies’ LVC solutions unit, said the work on the contract will be reinforced by the company’s current research and development tasks for the Joint Training Synthetic Environment, which was also won recently through the DOD’s Information Analysis Center.

The new J7 contract covers three areas, with the first aimed at creating a comprehensive future outlook on the operating environment. The second aspect focuses on joint experimentation on integrated learning and war gaming, while the third centers on support for the Joint Staff J4 Logistics enterprise’s war gaming.
