S2MARTS Team Holds Industry Day for Hypersonic Test Bed Program

A Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted Systems team gathered industry and government representatives in a recent two-day event aimed at increasing industry awareness of the second phase of the Department of Defense’s Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonic Test Bed program

Industry members were provided with the opportunity to have a one-on-one session with George Rumford, the director of the DOD Test Resource Management Center, during which they gained technical insights into the MACH-TB 2.0 project and a better understanding of the government’s interest in developing improved hypersonic capabilities, NSTXL said.

Activities during the industry day, which began on April 23, also included breakout sessions on systems engineering, integration and testing.

According to NSTXL, potential contractors were equipped with the necessary tools and information to create MACH-TB 2.0 proposals.

MACH-TB is a program designed to mitigate hypersonic risks and speed up the transfer of innovative technologies to warfighters.

Contracts supporting the initiative will be awarded through the S2MARTS other transaction contracting authority managed by NSTXL.
