Interior Department Awards $2B Cloud Services Contract to Accenture Federal Services, Three Others
The Department of the Interior has selected Accenture Federal Services, Science Applications International Corp., Smartronix and Zivaro to provide cloud license and support services under the 10-year, $2 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The Foundation Cloud Hosting Services 2 IDIQ will support infrastructure, platform, software and other environments based on the cloud, according to a notice posted on SAM. gov.
According to a GovCon Wire report, the selected companies will compete for task orders that cover application hosting, storage, backup, archival and disaster recovery, virtual machine, database hosting, web hosting, development and test environments, and application hosting services.
Other requirements include bundled workspace tools and technical advisory services that will enable the government to fully migrate selected applications and services to the cloud; create pre-award plans; and establish environments for system development, production, integration and sandbox purposes.
The Interior Department issued award notices after posting a solicitation for the multiple-award FCHS2 contract in April 2023.
