IronNet Announces FedRAMP Ready Status for Cloud Cybersecurity Offering
IronNet Cybersecurity, a global cybersecurity company, has announced that its IronCloud Service offering has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program Ready status.
Co-CEO Keith Alexander, a past Potomac Officers Club event speaker and a 2017 Wash100 awardee, said the offering leverages Amazon Web Services' "highly secure and resilient" cloud products and services, IronNet announced Tuesday.
"Achieving FedRAMP Ready status is an important step in IronNet's mission to protect U.S. government agencies, our country, and our allies by increasing the secure sharing between public and private sectors so that we can defend against cyberattacks together as nations," Alexander said.
According to the IronNet, IronCloud is a combination of the company's IronDome Collective Defense and IronDefense network defense and response products into one FedRAMP Ready solution.
IronDefense was designed to help security teams rapidly detect and respond to cyber threats through the use of behavioral analysis, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
The integration of IronDome allows IronDefense to link with industry peers, third-party suppliers and other stakeholders anonymously in real time, the company said.
IronNet added that IronCloud increases visibility on all threat types, minimizes the damage of cyber attacks and makes cyber investments more effective.
The FedRAMP Ready entails that FedRAMP has approved IronNet's Readiness Assessment Report and serves as an indicator of success for full FedRAMP Authorization, IronNet said. IronNet is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace as a FedRAMP-ready vendor.
Founded in 2014, IronNet is a computer and network security company based in McLean, Virginia. It specializes in AI, machine learning, behavioral analytics, network traffic analysis, collective defense and threat sharing, according to its LinkedIn profile.
