James Rittinger Takes on General Counsel Role at Empower AI

Reston, Virginia-based information technology company Empower AI has appointed James Rittinger as general counsel and corporate secretary.

In a press release, Empower AI CEO Jeff Bohling said Rittinger’s leadership and industry knowledge will drive support for clients and employees on mission-critical programs.

Rittinger, a 4×24 member, was formerly the chief legal officer of MFGS, leading its contracts, security, human resources and compliance wings. He has also held leadership roles at Micro Focus International, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Dell Services Federal Government and Perot Systems.

According to his LinkedIn page, he was a senior associate at Quinn Emanuel, an international law firm headquartered in Los Angeles.

Earlier in his career, Rittinger worked as a clerk for judges at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Empower AI said.

He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from Boston University.
