Jim Edwards Takes On Chief Growth Officer Role at SOS International
SOS International has appointed Jim Edwards to the chief growth officer role, tasking him to continue expanding the company’s footprint in the defense, intelligence and federal civilian agency sectors.
Edwards, a 4×24 member, has consistently secured contract renewals and recompetes since he rejoined as senior vice president of business development in 2022, SOSi said.
The company added that Edwards has worked to build relationships across the U.S. government and ensure that internal efforts align with customer requirements.
SOSi CEO Julian Setian, another 4×24 member and a 2024 Wash100 winner, described Edwards as “instrumental” in positioning the company for growth. Setian said he expects Edwards to continue winning opportunities and demonstrating value to customers.
Edwards spent 25 years in the U.S. Army, serving in various senior executive roles. After retiring as a colonel in 2012, he moved on to a four-year stint as business development VP at SOSi.
Edwards would then become part of the Army Intelligence and Security Command and, later, one of the federal intelligence agencies. In 2020, he took on successive senior business development roles at DynCorp International and Perspecta.
