Joe Anderson, President and CEO of Rafael Systems Global Sustainment
Anderson is experienced in driving results and managing complex tasks while building teams and networks. He also oversees billions of dollars worth of equipment, materials and supply chains around the world.
Anderson has been holding his current position since November 2019, according to his LinkedIn profile.
The executive also currently serves on various boards in addition to his current leadership responsibility. He is a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine’s Board on Army Research and Development and a member of REV’s board of directors.
Other positions that Anderson currently handles include independent senior adviser at Renaissance Strategic Advisors, board of advisers member at BigBear .ai and board of advisers member at Saildrone.
The RSGS CEO served for over 30 years with the U.S. Army before joining several advisory boards. He was the deputy chief of staff at the Army’s G-3/5/7 from 2015 to 2019, a role where he supported combatant commanders and advised senior leadership on matters involving terrorism, space operations and security cooperation.
Anderson was also the commanding general of the Army XVIII Airborne Corps from 2013 to 2015. Other positions he held within the Army were commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division and the chief of staff of the 101st Airborne Division.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1988 as a commander within the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Anderson holds a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
