KBR, 10 Other Contractors to Provide Service Members Health and Wellness Services

The Defense Health Agency has tapped KBR and 10 other contractors to provide health and wellness support under the Medical Q Coded Support and Services Next Generation contract.

Byron Bright, president of the KBR’s government solutions U.S. business, a 4×24 member and past Wash100 awardee, said the company securing the MQS2-NG contract is part of a commitment to support service members and their families by helping them improve their resilience and wellbeing.

The arrangement allows the 11 vendors to bid on task orders, including dental, physician and nurse medical support services, in and outside the continental United States, KBR said

KBR has been providing a wide range of health services to ensure the optimal state of military personnel. In early May, it secured a multiyear contract with the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command to provide vital support services, including health care support and logistical operations during natural disasters.

It also entered into a partnership with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine in December to continue research on traumatic brain injuries experienced by service members.
