Keith Munn to Serve as Business Management VP, CFO of Ingalls Shipbuilding
Keith Munn will serve as the vice president of business management and chief financial officer of Huntington Ingalls Industries' shipbuilding division, effective Feb. 15, 2021.
Munn will be responsible for all of Ingalls Shipbuilding's management, contract management and business management functions. He will replace Tom Stiehle, who has been promoted to executive vice president and CFO of the division, HII said.
“Keith’s extensive knowledge and accomplished background have been an asset to Ingalls for many years. His experience positions him for success in this important role on our leadership team, and we look forward to working together to continue moving Ingalls Shipbuilding forward," Ingalls Shipbuilding President Brian Cuccias said.
Munn joined HII in 1998 and has since held various leadership roles in business management, including management roles in finance and contracts.
He served as director of business management for 12 years. The company veteran played key roles in multiple contract negotiations such as those for HII's guided-missile destroyer, amphibious transport dock, national security cutter and life-cycle engineering and support services programs.
HII is a military shipbuilding company that provides professional services to customers from the government and industry.
Headquartered in Newport News, Virginia, HII specializes in nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines, destroyers, amphibious assault ships, national security cutters and unmanned systems.
The company recently closed its acquisition of Spatial Integrated Systems' autonomy business. HII said the acquisition expanded its unmanned systems portfolio, which now includes multi-vehicle collaborative autonomy, sensor fusion and perception.
HII Executive Vice President Andy Green, a 2020 Wash100 winner, said the acquisition complements HII's existing portfolio and strategic partnerships.
