ManTech Appoints David Hathaway as EVP, Defense Sector General Manager

David Hathaway, a Potomac Officers Club member and an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, has been appointed executive vice president and general manager of ManTech International‘s defense sector. He will oversee technology solutions delivery and other activities that support Department of Defense customers. He will report directly to ManTech Chief Operating Officer and fellow POC member Matt Tait.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Hathaway joins the Herndon, Virginia-based company after serving as senior VP of programs at Vectrus Systems. During his tenure with Vectrus, he supported the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. He also has a 25-year tenure with IBM, where he handled the development and delivery of solutions that support military and intelligence customers, ManTech said.

Company CEO and POC member Kevin Phillips said Hathaway’s expertise will be an asset for the Defense Sector, which supports national security homeland security missions. Phillips is a recipient of the 2021 Wash100 award.

The newly appointed EVP and Defense Sector GM also served with the U.S. Air Force, where he handled communications networks and information technology activities.

Hathaway holds a master’s degree in management science from the University of Dayton and a bachelor’s degree in human factors engineering from the Air Force Academy.
