ManTech Lands 273M DHS Contract for Border Control Analytics
ManTech has been awarded a $273M contract to provide the Department of Homeland Security with advanced analytics for border control.
The five-year contract calls for business intelligence support services that will help Customs and Border Protection preempt acts of crime and terrorism, ManTech said Thursday.
“ManTech’s sophisticated analytics, automation and AI capabilities allow us to analyze mountains of data to find and deliver actionable, accurate and relevant intelligence essential to safeguarding our nation," said Bryce Pippert, executive vice president of ManTech's federal civilian sector business.
ManTech said that it has been providing such analytics services to the CBP since 2017 to prevent terrorist attacks, intercept illegal drugs and other illegal trade, stop human trafficking, discover crime networks and apprehend trade sanction violators.
Under the new contract, ManTech will provide machine learning-powered modeling, true positive identification, comprehensive threat research, query support and end-to-end analytics based on multiple sources.
The company will also develop advanced tools for extracting actionable intelligence from complex data findings, helping CBP officers identify the intent, threat level and location of targets.
“Harnessing the power of machine learning, we identify data anomalies that might be missed by the human eye, as well as subtle trend shifts that can be highly predictive of future behavior," Pippert said.
ManTech is a technology-specialized government contractor that supports defense, intelligence and federal civilian agencies.
The 52-year-old company provides a wide range of cyber, data collection, analytics, enterprise information technology, systems engineering and software application development solutions for national and homeland security.
