ManTech Names New VP, Chief Acceleration Officer

ManTech International has appointed Gary Grimes as its new vice president and chief acceleration officer.

In his role, Grimes will lead ManTech’s Value Creation Plan, which is the company’s initiative to boost growth and operational efficiency, ManTech said.

Grimes joins ManTech from Platinum Equity, where he helped develop and accelerate its VCPs. He also had a stint at McKinsey & Company, leading growth and performance improvement programs.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Grimes previously served as a surface warfare and operations officer at the White House’s Presidential Emergency Operations Center.

ManTech CEO and President Matt Tait, a 4×24 member and a 2024 Wash100 winner, said Grimes will leverage the company’s artificial intelligence and other advanced solutions to drive growth and operational excellence.

Meanwhile, Michael Ruppert, ManTech’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, noted that Grimes’ experience in managing value creation programs will help expand the company’s investment in talent, business development and advanced technologies such as analytics and AI.
