Mark Lay Appointed as VP, Chief Information Officer at Noblis

Science and technology firm Noblis has named Mark Lay as its new vice president and chief information officer.

Lay will succeed current CIO Gail Hogan, whose retirement was announced by the company in December 2023, Noblis said.

Lay, who has been with Noblis for almost two decades, is currently serving as the company’s deputy CIO. In the said role, he spearheaded key transformational initiatives and led various customer-facing programs.

Noblis CEO and President Mile Corrigan expressed confidence in Lay’s technical, institutional and leadership skills as the company continues to advance national security interests and expand services.

Corrigan, who is also a 4×24 member and a past Wash100 awardee, highlighted Lay’s ability to translate technical advancements into practical solutions, which she said would benefit Noblis’ clients.

A two-time recipient of the company’s President Award, Lay also currently serves on the Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee for Fairfax County, Virginia.

With his appointment, Lay will join the company’s executive council, reporting to Gary Sladic, Noblis’ chief financial officer.
