Merkle Science Seeks to Expand US Footprint With Carahsoft Distributorship Agreement, Startup Acquisition
New York-based technology firm Merkle Science has entered into a partnership agreement with Carahsoft Technology for the latter to serve as the distributor of its crypto forensics solution, Tracker, to the government sector.
Government agencies can purchase the service through Carahsoft reseller partners, NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 and National Association of State Procurement Officials ValuePoint contracts.
Steve Jacyna, Carahsoft director of emerging cybersecurity and a 4×4 member, said Merkle Science platform’s capabilities and coverage can enable government users “to crack even the most complex cases.”
According to Merkle Science, its Tracker platform features tools that can monitor and trace cryptocurrency deals in real time for analyses and accelerated investigations.
Mriganka Pattnaik, Merkle Science CEO, viewed as “paramount” the need for reliable solutions against crypto fraud, with the illicit activities’ growing use of blockchain-based operating platforms, Carahsoft said.
To grow its market reach not only in the United States but also in Canada, Merkle Science disclosed In early June that it is acquiring Web3 cybersecurity startup Staging Labs, which is similarly focused on proactive defense against illicit cryptocurrency activities.
With the acquisition, Merkle Science will incorporate the team of Miami-based Staging Labs, which was established by two Canadian entrepreneurs who developed a crypto defense platform using real-time technology and an automated response system.
